It can force the user to add text to the document footer or header (in Word) and adds custom properties to the document automatically (in Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
It adds a new tab to the Ribbon to change classification or get document fingerprint
Optional Document Fingerprint Database to store document fingerprints. It helps to identify document versions without storing any confidential information
Write a document
Save the document and a popup window forces you classify documents (in Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Forced header text, forced footer text is possible too (only in Word, header and footer text is customizable)
Custom properties are always created inside documents (in Word, Excel and Powerpoint if file format supports is, ie. docx, doc, xlsx, xls, ppt, pptx). More about Custom properties: Office support webpage.
Do you want to change classification? Just click the Classify.it tab and click "Change classification" button
Do you need the fingerprint for the current document? Just save it and click "Get fingerprint" button
You are the document administrator? Click "Document Repository" button and review all the documents, fingerprints and classification levels.
